@klooless
Not tested this, but by deduction it would be 1420_type2001296. Reasoning: (i) Same size ASR as the 1420_type2001282 for 2xxx above, so that's probably ASR'1' as also used by 3790 and they are always smaller than the ASR'2' files for later series 2xx5/3490/3590/3597 etc. (ii) JCV picture size is 400*366 which can used by all 3xxX.

Thanks Neil. I installed 1420_type2001296 on the Nuvi 3790 and it works.
Guess the differentiating features between the various installation files are the resolution of the JCV and the voice command ASR types.
which one is for Nuvi 1350?
If it's an Asian fw 1350, the first dl link in Post #1, i.e. 1420_type2001271 [picture size 190 x 210 pixels] for 1250 will be ok although any other than MY/SG may need the JCV file unlocked/patched. The 1250 displays image size up to 320 x 240 pixels, but 13xx is capable of displaying larger picture size up to 480*272 JCV files so the other JCV file 212*234 should be fine too, however the largest split file 400*366 probably won't work at all.
If it's a US/EU firmware model 1350 with modded splash don't bother with the JCV files as even the parched one won't work in it.

which one is for the nuvi 255w?
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Just an observation...when travelling through the MCE tunnel, my Nuvi 3790 is able to track my progress throughout, but when travelling through the CTE tunnel, it would prompt that satellite signal was lost. Wonder why that is so.
Interesting point. Modern units and maps are 'tunnel aware'. The unit does still lose the satellite signal, but it uses a form of 'dead reckoning' to track the supposed progress thru a known tunnel based on the reported speed. It works fine for relatively short tunnels where traffic is flowing normally, but if there's a slowdown or you exceed the speed limit [bad idea!] your actual and assumed exit will not coincide.
If the tunnel is new and not shown on the map then the unit reports the loss of signal the same as when your car is in an underground carpark.
