I did some tests with Garmin1450 on GPS. Routable my eye. It really draws the shortest path as using the highway exits in reverse. Uses the one-way streets in reverse. No address in the database, then that version of the Topo Canada them all.

    I'm disappointed.

Whom that surprises? A Topo map is not made for car navigation! It is made for outdoor activities like biking, hiking, geocaching etc.

I agree with p!xeldealer 100%. You have no cause to be disappointed. I've had topos want to route me the wrong way on roundabouts [traffic circles] but I'd expect that sort of idiosyncrasy when using them for the wrong purpose. Horses for courses. You shouldn't expect a CN to be any good in the scrub on trails and you certainly shouldn't expect a topo to be any more than an emergency tool on-road even if it is 'routable'.

There is one big problem with this version of TrakMaps Topo Qc. I will Keep The older version 3.0.1 RTM. The mistake is on elevation contour lines in the James Bay area , from the point south: N51.24999 - W77.42065 to the point North: N54.00065 - W77.43693. They mixed up Metric with Foot in reverse. For example the contour line should be 213m,and is 65m. Not a small deal for the topo map, especially if you use Garmin BirdsEye images and topos contour lines as terrain enhancement.

No. I got the download from here. I noticed the error last fall siting on the hilltop in James Bay hunting moose.
