Navteq->Nokia->Here is names of Finland company. So he knows better :) This part of kauppakatu street is restricted for usual car driving now and as sequence official delivery address was replaced to neighbour street what have permission for driving. For example, for Iso Myy centre I am getting Siltakatu 10 or 12 and Niskakatu 5 or 7 for moving papers. You can use any mobile app to get actual info so.Quote:

As say we apologize for any inconvenience but can we compare new roads junction of Imatrantie and Kajaanintie in Prizma market region with this small deficit. No!
I am strongly recommend to use version from 2014.30 because the roads segment was very actualized since this version. It is better to have 100 m trip as pedestrian then from 2 to 25 km by car in unknown city with wrong map and continuous scream "Recalculate route...".
This fact is not concerning of nuvi 205 only!!! It is usual map collision for all device. We must put up with it and use alternative apps for 100 percent insurance :)Quote:

may be u a right (but if find iso myy, it calculate to kauppakatu 26) and have problems to calculate route from russia( roads of russia 5.32) to europe (cn nt 2014.40) with nuvi 205(tried on two nuvi 205), on newer models(nuvi 50, nuvi150) all work fine, that's why I thought that problem with 2014.40 or garmin thus no longer support the old model
Ah, so that's how to do it! I had already downloaded the firmware file (ver 7.60, after checking the chip ID for my nuvi 205W to make sure it was the correct firmware version), but didn't know how to flash the device.Quote:

Does installing Basecamp and using it to update the firmware affect the map version also?

I downloaded the 2014.10 version for "UK and Ireland" and it is working fine. Although I had first downloaded the 2014.40 map for "United Kingdom" (from post #6 in this thread) I realised this does not include roads in Ireland (I wanted both UK and Ireland). Before replacing it with the 2014.10 "UK and Ireland" version I had a look and it did appear to be working okay (at least for roads in England).Quote:
Thanks for that Raiyu. I've already downloaded the 2014.40 version before seeing your post so will probably try that first, if it's not working properly on my old nuvi 205w then I shall look for the 2014.10 version of the map. Thanks again for your reply.
Navteq->Nokia->Here and after it Garmin have more the million POI in Europe. Both company continuously are renewed and updated its. But it is the very great work and the greatest priority have roads network segment. So collision will take place in any case.Quote:

You know the such collision with Gigantti shop in Joensuu. Only old wrong location for this store on map. When I had done Suomi POIs for me I get newest data from Gigannti official site. All seems to be OK with new address (in comment of POI) and new photo of this store, I was very glad and downloaded file to device. Ups! Nuvi navigated me to old wrong place. I check the official site info and see that the coordinate not was renewed in file. Here you are...
About nuvi 205 I have my story too. This bug was old and was occurred after update SW to 4.80 (added routes for ecoRoute and 4Gb support!!!) . It is not depend of map version and occurred on all SW version greater than 4.60. Garmin support always reply that all new SW is intended for modern maps with very tight roads network. If the route calculation algorithm would have a big gap for near roads it could jump to closest wrong road (it is true I have such mistakes on old software in France). RU and EU map was not correlated thus error is possible and you must make two path navigation to border and after. But for Nuvi 765t this error was eliminated by Garmin at time but not for cheaper 205 series. Damn it! It is interesting that route to Bothnia Suomi and Sweden with Norway could made by Nuvi 205 across Niirala-Vjartsilja but for nearest Joensuu no.
Then go new models - Garmin made as usually a clever face and said that in new device calculation methods is different with Nuvi 205 likes FIFO vs LIFO financial terms :) But quota of truth for EU and RU map take place in all device. At time a some devices navigated to Helsinki through Tallinn but route was much longer than
through Viborg in any settings. After Navicom added to 2014.40 detailed main roads for Estonia to RU map the problem gone on. Here you are...
The next interesting fact it is that nuvi 50, nuvi150 do not show the closest to RU region in Finland on map on some level if RU map is activated. All devices and maps is very specific.
Any problem with UK and Ireland region for new 2014.40 version??? Be care in post #6 CN Europe NT 2014.40-IRELAND.rarQuote:

is in separate files. The best for you have one common file for UK and Ireland region!
Use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] file. I didn't find any problem with searching and routing
Yes, I downloaded the file in post #6 CN Europe NT 2014.40-UNITED KINGDOM.rar but then found the separate file for Ireland was needed to cover both "UK and Ireland". So, as you have said, two files needed.Quote:

After reading Rayiu's comment (post #101) that the 2014.40 maps might not work correctly on my older nuvi 205W, I found a single file map in version 2014.10 for both "UK and Ireland" and downloaded that one. It seems to be working well on my nuvi.
However I might also try to download the 2014.40 map that Varfolomey has mentioned (post #112) and try it to see if it works correctly with my 205W. It is also a single map that covers both UK and Ireland.
Thanks, I shall try this one. Wasn't sure if it would work correctly with my old nuvi 205W.Quote:
