    @crab987
    By implication, all the image files to date must be compiled from the original PC Instal [aka Map Source Data] because this map has not been officially released and therefore no devices could have directly received an 'original untouched IMG' map by download.

    The problem was the magnet text which was originally hidden by the spoiler did not copy and paste correctly. If you click on the spoiler 'Show' button in the quote of your post [#5] in Alexis_'s Post #7 you'll see this but without my added emphasis:
    Spoiler:
    magnet:?xt=urn:btih:a9ec5590450358b4dc540440bfeba1 b3645e14ca&dn=Garmin+City+Navigator+Europe+NT%28Un icode%29+2014.40+Unlocked&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.o penbittorrent.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.publ icbt.com%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.istole.it%3A6 969&tr=udp%3A%2F%2Ftracker.ccc.de%3A80&tr=udp%3A%2 F%2Fopen.demonii.com%3A1337 .........

    It has several unintended spaces including one at the end and therefore won't work. I edited your post #5 earlier to wrap the magnet text in [code] tags which allows it to be copied and pasted without error. There's nothing wrong with your magnet link, the problem seems to be a bug from our recent forum upgrades.

    PS: Your torrent is being well-seeded by the way. Nice work again!

    Downloaded and installed on my 3790: everything is OK as usual
    I'm only experiencing a very slow route calculation time and I had to disable trafficTrends to get back to a normal calculation time: could it be related to the old D233000.db and D317400.db files still on the SQLite folder of my Nuvi?

    I suspected as much, just wanted to be sure. Couple of months ago I was getting ready for my Australia trip and my GPS would constantly reboot in testing with IMG made from Map Source Data. You were kind enough to provide untouched IMG and my Garmin performed flawlessly with it for entire month I was there. Can't thank you enough for that.
    Since I'm heading for Europe in two months I just want to avoid same issues. I'll wait till map gets officially released and someone, hopefully, posts original locked IMG (and ASR/SRX files).

    Ah yes, my polite and appreciative NA friend 'Crab Boy' with the 3580, lol. From memory, that AU CN problem was from an image compiled & uploaded by another user, n'est-ce pas? You shouldn't have problems if you dl the PC Install version and compile your own image using MapInstall from the gmap folder. But then you still won't get the ASR'2' files until the map's officially released [maybe? ].

    No doubt it is the best way for normal users!!! The new version not give you significant changes for Europe. At most case even 2013.40 or older versions will build your routes as 2014.40. I can see changes only for Ukraine but it is so far a not fully developed region for Garmin-Navteq-Nokia-Here. In some regions of Europe I do not find known for me changes beginning from version 2013.40. And if you want be sure a hundred percent you must wait a little after release for testing users. We know example then Garmin had made mistakes and the revision of map was needed.
    Do not look at us. We without doubt are testing anything because we know what in other pocket we have well-tried maps and device.
    Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

    I can answer for him, because i know what he wishes to avoid as unlikely as it might be. He had a [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] previously with an AU 2014.20 image which was only finally resolved when he unlocked and used an untouched original image from a similar LM device. On reviewing that thread, i see that the problem was repeated when he compiled his own image using MI. That's how pietu has compiled his images in Post #3 no doubt. Be a little like lightning striking twice if it happened again with this CN though.

    This may be little off topic now, but, if I create full IMG from Map Source Data, is there a way to do simulated testing of routes in "fast forward" mode on GPS unit? I know I can simulate it in "real time", but that's like 10 hours for 1,000km route. I'd like GPS to speed through it at some 500-1000km/h.
