About AutoRouting I've never discovered by myself its power ... I don't have any model supporting this funcion ...
Many Users report the needing of .UNL file to make ActiveRouting functioning in their GPS, others don't ...
Read here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
It seems the function itself to be locked, not the .db file. IMHO the best solution is trying ...

How to transfer selected map tiles from this map onto a unit without microSD slot, e.g. a Dakota 10?
I can load the unlocked *) map via microSD into BaseCamp v4.2.3, but when trying to transfer onto the GPS (nüvi 200 in this example), I get the MapInstall message "No unlocked maps were found for this device".

*) = unlocked gmapsupp.img using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

You cannot install a *.img with Mapinstall to an other unit I guess. Mapinstall will read gmap or old MS maps. Basecamp can read them, thats all. Just use explorer (or other Program) to copy the map to Your device.
In Your case there are probably no other (unlocked) maps on the PC, with that message from Mapinstall ?

Did You want some maptiles for only Belux ? , the PC version is on this forum which You can use with Mapinstall.

Dakota 10 has an internal memory of 850 MB only, most of which is already taken up by other software. Therefore the need to transfer only a part of the Benelux topomap (not only the Belgium part but also a part of the Netherlands).

I think, when You select a part (selection of maptiles) of Belgium and the Netherlands from this Topomaps, You get a file of 150-200 MB or >. And Your Dakota is not suitable for Topo Pro/Activerouting maps.
Alternative You can choose a selection of a map from openstreetmap.org. Good quality of data for BeNeLux .
    Just go to
    Spoiler: Garmin openstreetmap
    garmin.openstreetmap.nl
    or
    Spoiler: Openfietsmap
    www.openfietsmap.nl
    (Maybe choose Benelux Light version)

There are also instructions on the Internet for making an own map for a Etrex10 (less space, also suitable for Dakota 10) on the Internet, see for an example:

    or

Not really interested in autorouting but always interested in map updates. Is this map set better than the former topo benelux? I did see that the maps of belgium are now 1:10.000 tiles but the netherlands ranging from 1:25.000 to 1;50.000. If I remembered correctly in the former Topo benelux netherlands tiles are 1;25.000. So this newer version would be a little setback. Or am i msitaken here?

This map is better than the old one because it's based on the latest data available. Keep in mind that this data is from 2011-2013 for the Netherlands because the Dutch Kadaster constantly renews all map-tiles from South to North in a period of 3 years.
Topo Benelux is a product of 3 different map-providers just stitched together. This can clearly be seen because they all render differently and have their own typ-definitions partially.
