I can add a couple of problems ...

With CNEU 2014.10 & now with 2014.20 InstaSearch doesn't work in Greek language in 34/35xx & 3597 devices. If you try to do a search, the device keeps on searching for ever & at the end when you try to "escape from this endless story" it will shut down & reboot. In 24/2595 & in 2497 InstaSearch has been tested & it's working OK. They have been notified about the problem since 2014.10 but who gives a f ...

Things are even worse with new devices that using NTU version since the first release of the map when it comes to navigation. The route that the device gives the user is "no way" that it can be the right choice, we have a local provider named Geodata whith Auto Drive Hellas to compare & it's a fact that you can't trust CNEU to navigate in Greece. Never mind Auto Drive Hellas, we know our "neighbourhood" & for sure routing has serious problems. After some private user testing Garmin has been notified about the results with more than one ways that indicate where the main problem may be, but who gives a damn about Greece, a small country in the other end of the world ...

Things won't be same if the problem was about a realy large market they wanted to keep.

Caty! Sorry if I mention your age but it is reality of today world! We know genuine things may belong to people! But not now. It concerns of all modern things - food, consumer goods and even autos. My companions and I made computation we are spending twice more time and money on our new cars (not cheaper!!!) due to dysfunction and breakage than in the end of last century. The newest cars come more ugly and we do not know that do buy!!! I think you know it - and when buy new smartphone you would bring back threadbare Nokia in pocket to be on the safe side...

Dear P33dro, thank you very much for [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], you're a life saver!
I am now downloading the full EU map for my Nuvi 255W. Can I please ask you the MD5 checksum, once more, for GMAPSUPP.IMG file?
Thank you again, your "annoying-but-wanna-verify-it" friend

Dear Genius3 thank you very much for going into the trouble and getting the MD5 checksum for us.

However, I am not getting the same result using p33dro's links from post #56. I tested all the RAR files that I downloaded from p33dro for the UNLOCKED full map. No errors on WinRAR (tested twice, expanded same file twice)...

    The resulting file details are:

Perhaps you got the MD5 checksum for the locked map, by accident? (if it's the same size, as I honestly don't know about the locked version).

Anyone else getting this previous MD5, guys?

In any case, thank you all for your efforts.

    Dear All,

I manage to do as below

    1) Install Garmin BaseCamp version 4.2.2
    2) patch basemap
    3) Unlock map source directory
    4) install Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2014.20 by selecting all the covered countries from Garmin BaseCamp
    5) Install on sd card

But my question is, is there anyway i can test the map? I am in Asia, but if it is possible to test the Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2014.20 without being in Europe? If yes, how do i go about with testing if the map works?

Turn off GPS on your device (simulation mode).
Create a route on your garmin device. And then you'll be asked to simulate route or not. Simulate route. This way you will be able to test CNE or other map.

    @supertep

1.) In settings set simulation mode
2.) go to first screen and tap on view map
3.) drag map to EU and zoom in to street
4.) tap on street and tap on flag and you can then set this place as start position
5.) Go back to first screen and go to create route
6.) start route in simulation mode

Now you can route in EU, becouse nuvi think that you in EU
