Yes, it was the last of my "official" updates. I still feel cheated by Garmin about the purchase of my Nuvi 40. The very next day after I purchased this unit, they announced "Free Lifetime Maps" for my unit! I cannot believe that the store from which I purchased it, did not know about this offer. I contacted Garmin regarding this, but they just told me that I can now purchase a Lifetime Map subscription, but that would have been more than my Nuvi 40! Now I will go the "un-official" route!

Do the ASR files posted for the 3790 work on other devices? I have a 2495 and when I try to use voice command it says it's not available in British/American/etc English.

Do you have the whole map in Nuvi ? You must have the complete map to make it work.

Yes, I installed the full map (unlocked MapSource through Basecamp) to SD and copied the 2 ASR files to .System/ASR on the internal memory.

I just tried using the unlocked .img and that doesn't work either.

Are there different ASR files for different devices? When searching for help I found another thread for a different map set with different files for "ASR'2' files for 3490/2495/2595/359x & other ASR capable 2012 & 2013 devices + SID files" and "ASR'1' files for 3790/2460". Do I need a different ASR file to the one posted?

Yes the ones posted by P33dro are just ASR1, you need ASR2.
