    Hello.
I have a garmin nuvi 50. With CN Europe 2013.40 version, the JCV worked perfectly. However, the version CN Europe 2014.10 and JCV, they fail in my nuvi 50.
    Help me, please.

You must install in your nuvi 50 unicode version of CN 2014.10 and add JCV for nuvi 50 and all will work.

    Hello to all thread members.

Thank you P33dro for your links on post #4, got the unlocked IMG file (2,89GB) in RARs.

Can I please ask you to provide the MD5 checksum for that big gmapsupp.img file?

WinRAR complained that part 05 was corrupted and had to re-download. Now the test passes OK, just wanted to be sure though, that's why I request your MD5.

    Many thanks!

Why am I not being directed using road names with this map? For example coming down the Ballykelly Road in Limavady, Northern Ireland I'll be told to take the 2nd exit onto the A37 rather than the Brd road, despite using a TTS voice (Emily British English)? The road name is clearly displayed on the sat-nav BTW.

My experience is that sometimes street names are dropped in favour of a clearer/more succinct direction. 'Take the 2nd exit onto the A37' is probably preferable to, say, 'Take the 2nd exit to xxx Road, and then enter the A37'.

Easier to simply look for 'the 2nd exit' and not have the directions convoluted with unnecessarily long and detailed instructions which are of no real help and may in fact confuse the situation rather than make it clearer particularly when taking into account that there is a finite time which is dependent on the vehicle speed and cognitive ability of and subsequent response by the driver, in that there is limited time in which the driver needs to hear, process and act on the voice directions, [blah blah, blah blah] ......
exactly as illustrated by the preceding overly long and pedantic sentence! i.e. If you mean that you are usually getting spoken street names, your one example is as Garmin intended.
