    Agreed Rog.

2xx5, 2xx7, 34xx, 35xx all use the same ancillary files ASR, SID, DB, including ASR'2' as roger points out. 2460 uses the same files as 37x0 including ASR'1'.

I mean you can compare post n 1 gmap files with Garmin CNNAM manifest that is the source of map update.
    for example TYP file

The big jcv file doesn't work with the unlocked map from torrent. In Garmin that specific map is called 'North America NT 2014.10 by Ipmark'... is that the reason?

Big JCV works fine with this map, np, check if you copied it in the right path: SD/Garmin/JCV/xxxxxx.JCV or in .System hidden directory in a JCV folder, or Nuvi:\Garmin\JCV (it depends on Nuvi series)

It's in the same folder as always, like you typed (on SD card). I wasn't sure if internal map name that's not standard makes a difference.

No the map naming is not important. You can change that if you want with GMapTool anyway. Check that the FID info is correct on that torrent map. Try also turning the unit fully off, remove the SD and reinsert then turn the unit back on. It may not be recognising the card [that's assuming you have the map on the unit and the jcv on the card].

It's PID 1, FID 2920. The LMT update for US&Canada works with the JCV file located on the same spot (SD card:/Garmin/JCV).
    I'll try one more time.

LE: I changed the map internal subset name (GMap Tool) and it worked.

What is the difference between the original gmapsupp.img in post #2 and that of post #22? Is it that Mexico was deleted for file size?

Also is the JCV in post# 20 the correct one for the 755T?
