JCV is the one from Garmin site, not touched, D3060100A.
Well, the U is the one posted and works in 1390. Plus It's a 20 digit number, not 10.
I am not sure if V is correct thou. Can somebody check that on their device?

    V: North America NT 2014.10 (0)
    F: PID 1, FID 2920, North America NT 2014.10
    U: XXF5J-J2ZFG-5TMJB-Y5T6P-Z365B

Ok...I can think of one thing lately in some models is released also a file. unl (JCV+UNL)
The file UNL could be used to write to a memory area and then no longer serve (my think....!!!)
Could be used in some models (like yours) but currently we do not have the ability to check
Try also with the small JCV file in post #22 : Full screen small version 23.5MB for Nuvi 1390 & 14xx D3153100A.JCV
Tomorrow I try in my 13xx

    Data MPS
    V: North America NT 2014.10 (0)
    F: PID 1, FID 2920, North America NT 2014.10
    U: XXF5J-J2ZFG-5TMJB-Y5T6P-Z365B

Now the jcv it doesn't work on my 765 either...
I have the map and jcv on the device (since the 765 has 4GB, it can handle them).
What is supposed to be the correct V and F names?
I believe that what you have in the IMG should work fine but here are the F & V records for that map installed on a 765 by Garmin.
My official version of the map does not include Mexico
V: CN North America NT 2014.10 US & Canada (0)
F: PID 1, FID 2920, CN North America NT 2014.10
also.. no JCV UNL file was EVER placed on the GPS

I also built a much smaller custom IMG from mapsource which works correctly with either JCV in a 765.
Here are the V & F records from that custom IMG.
    V: US & Canada (0)
F: PID 1, FID 2920, CN North America NT 2014.10

Possibly you have the wrong JCV ?
The JCV is unique for each new map release and must be the corrcet filename to insure compatabilty with your GPS model.

Here are 2 identical JCV files that sefinitely work in a 765 for CN NA 2014.1
They are the full Versions and have different filenames names only because of where they originated.

Full Screen For 7x5 / 1xxx models (both Files are identical)
/Garmin/JCV/D3060100A.JCV generic public download from the Garmin site
/Garmin/JCV/D1279180A.JCV Installed by Garmin Map Update process

Thanks, I don't know what to say. I have changed the map name and nothing. I have the jcv from Garmin and it works on another device. Maybe I need to re-copy the file on device?

LE: Nope, still doesn't show up.

    Superduper67,

I always do this with CN North America NT img files (& using it's corresponding large JCV file direct from Garmin) on my nuvi 775.
At this point (& since you have 4GB on the 765), I suggest you try the below:

    1. Download the .gmap version.
    2. Unlock it's .tdb file with GarminUnlocker.exe.
    3. Use Mapsource to select all tiles, then add "ALL" to the end of the "Map Set Name" (For this map, "CN North America NT 2014.10 ALL").
    4. Mapsource>Transfer>Send To Device.
    5. Rename the Mapsource "gmapsupp.img" file created in step 4 to "gmapprom.img".
    6. Unlock the img by dragging the "gmapprom.img" to the "gimgunlock.exe" of gimgtools-0.03.
    7. GMapTool>Write>Set version in header>(for this map, the 1st field "20", 2nd "14" & for the 3rd "Ms" field "0">Write all.

Since Neil's post #35 shows GMapTool's "CN North America NT 2014.10 ALL" map img Log info. of an "official" img from Garmin, I also used an additional step below:

    8. ImgTool>File>Open>gmapprom.img, click the "Product Number" button & replace "000-00000-00" with "D233813AG000", press "OK", "Exit".

    @ ALL

My test in nuvi 1340 EU modded (for feature JV):
Shortcut from CNNTNA 2014.10 with MS...unlocked shortcut/map with imgunlock r.03
    Put in sd\Garmin\... file gmapsupp.img....put in sd\Garmin\JCV\...file D3060100A.JCV
GPS simulation and Set Location in Philadelphia PA and route to Manhattan NY...results:

Here's what my nuvi 775 has for CNNANT using the procedure in post #67:

V: CN North America NT 2014.10 ALL (0)
F: PID 1, FID 2920, CN North America NT 2014.10

    Another possibility...
Since Garmin is now messing with unl files for jcv files AND the map img Superduper67 is using DOES have a unl code in it (U: XXF5J-J2ZFG-5TMJB-Y5T6P-Z365B ...OR MAYBE even if it uses any other unl code, such as 00000-00000-00000-00000-00000), this map img MAY now also be looking for the matching jcv unl code file as well (even if his firmware is/is not looking for any gma files).

If I were Superduper67, the first thing I would try is using an img file that has...

V: CN North America NT 2014.10 ALL (0)
F: PID 1, FID 2920, CN North America NT 2014.10

    and NOT...

    V: North America NT 2014.10 (0)
    F: PID 1, FID 2920, North America NT 2014.10
    U: XXF5J-J2ZFG-5TMJB-Y5T6P-Z365B (nor ANY other U: code)

In GMap Tool I cannot just delete the U field:
"Wrong unlock code length. Wrong unlock code."
