Hello. How will this work? I cannot download. :-(

Will the junction view now work for garmin units not having PH FW?

    @odelacruz
    1. How's what work? You've posted below szboss' post so i'm assuming you either can't see the hidden link (if so, see my signature below), or you can't get the dl to work, but i've just checked both and they're ok so must be your end in that case.

    2. Only units with PH fw which are JCV capable can see the Junction Views with PH maps. Any other fw units will either crash or pop a message saying you must use PH fw. Most Asian units with the same HWID are cross-flashable.
Please try to give full info when you post, saves us guessing.

    Hi odelacruz,

Try the link of ozboss that directs you to LinkSave.in, from there choose the download from the host server share-online.biz. After downloading the rar file, extract the contents and copy the gmapprom.img to your Garmin device and your good to go. Hope this helps.

Note by mod : reading this can help too

Thanks Neil for the reply. I was able to manage to download the files using tebuan's post.

As for the junction view, what do you mean by cross-flashable? Do you mean I can reflash the fw of my nuvi 2595LMT from the US? Is there a PH fw for that model?

According to Garmin Philippines the only available models are 2575 and 2577.
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
You haven't specified where you bought the 2595, so it must have 2 pre-conditions:
    1. Asia unit
    2. Same HWID
Then, as Neil pointed out, you can cross-flash

Sorry for the question but what does HWID mean? Just a newbie here starting to understand. I edited my post above. (garmin nuvi unit from US)

HWID = HardWare IDentification, which simply means what says literally. Units with the same HWID have identical hardware.

Don't try to flash any full Asian fw directly to your US device as you may well brick it. If you wish to try, use the original US boot.bin combined with the rest of the PH fw. Here isn't the place to tell you any more, but have a look at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and follow the first method substituting the fw and HWID as appropriate. You should also remove the US voice, keyboard & text files before flashing and afterwards replace them with the correct PH ones if the flash is successful, as the US files might cause a boot loop or boot freeze if they are different to the PH default files.
Don't ask further advice in this map thread though.
