Can somebody explain me, please, what function performing MD2 file? For gmapprom.img and gmap3D.img the same ID: 2878? I need to generate gmpaprom.unl and gmap3D.unl with same code inside inside for each ones?

You don't need to generate unlocking code for each file. Better use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] to unlock the images.Quote:

MD2 subfile (which MapSource/MapInstall adds into IMG file) is the fuzzy search index. It's used by some devices to get better search results when you search for POIs. Nothing bad will happen if you don't have this subfile in the IMG file.Quote:

It may well be that the MD2 file (in the MD2 folder) has the same function ... :eam:
Pietu, sorry for bothering you again, but the links for G2S & JCV files are Linksave.in ones which lead to either "Netload.in" or "Highspeed" requiring signing up or just doesn't work (nothing happens after pressing "Продолжить бесплатное скачивание" / "Continue free download"). Any chances you could put the files to Zippyshare or create a torrent?
How can anyone work out the current version of gmatz in GPS device?Quote:

Open your gmatz.img file wth GMapTool, press 'Info' or 'Details' and look at the Version number in Header. e.g.:
Reading file C:/Maps/TimeZone/V12/gmaptz.img.

Header: 16.04.2013 10:48:43, DSKIMG, XOR 00, V 12.00, Ms 0, 006-D1074-00
Mapset: Time Zone Map
Map length s-f CP prio PID FID name
