Gmaptool uses a simplified preview,you can make better preview map, but needs more work with other tools.

Downloaded the official shifted version (I have Chinese nüvi 2565) and placed the file on SD card in /garmin folder - but map is not seen, when I go to tools-settings-MyMaps...I can only see my pre-installed CN map...any suggestions?

With two or more detailed (i.e. non-transparent) maps covering the same area installed and unlocked, some older software/firmware may list all of them in My Maps, but most new firmware can only list one of them. And only one map is displayed at any time, regardless of how many maps are listed.
I guess it is locked(?), but I have created an .unl file with the JetMouse tool based on my Unit ID and MapID (2169) and placed it together the gmapsupp.img file
in the Garmin folder on a MicroSD.
My preinstalled map is CN China NT 2013.20NI ALL and the strange thing is that I am able to copy an older (unlocked I guess) version called "CN China NT 2011.40 ENG"
to the SD card - and my Nüvi 2565 sees both my preinstalled 2013.20NI all and 2011.40 ENG...but with any other version like the two in this thread never shows up in tools-settings-MyMaps.
It's unauthenticated. Just use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and it will be fully usable in your unit.
I would like to know how can I install the map to my garmin edge 810!

After you have Unlocked the Map put it in microSD:
- \Garmin folder (gmapsupp.img)
- \Map folder (anyname.img)

Thanks, I have tried both gimunlock (both Win and OSX) and GarminUnlockerAlternativev7.1.6 - but it still does not work. The map does not show up in tools-settings-MyMaps - any other tips?
