It's because I don't want Garmin spies to know if it's a download version ("D") or a memory card version (normally with "C").
    Okee Ballebar,
Clear explanation. But when I download the files and view the sql file, I do see what version it is ("D" of "C").
Butl, when answering questions, I wil consider your explanation.

The SQL file is less than 6 MB.
Why are there so few 'Named Trails' in Italy?

There is no hiking tradition in Italy.
The majority of the trails inside the db are bicycle routes and many long distance trails (like the GTA) are incomplete. There is a long way to go with this map and db.

Topo maps of Italy in general are very old and incomplete too. The first Trekmaps (for small regions) only appeared a few years ago, only Portugal and Greece are doing worse.
This new map still lacks many unpaved roads and footpaths. It's a little bit better than v2 but still lacks 2/3 of the footpaths in the country. Only National parks and Natural reserves are covered. Map data of v3 is totally refreshed but they didn't take much effort. The vegetation types are available on the internet and they copied the entire road-network from City Navigator. If you take a close look you won't find any differences between Topo Italy v3 and City Navigator as far as roads are concerned!

    Hi Everybody ...
I was comparing, on BaseCamp, the differences between version 2 and version 3 of this sizzling map and I noticed this oddity: it is the island of Giannutri (Tuscan Archipelago), which has offset the roads to the north than on land, also you notice this on your BaseCamp?

If so, it is a mistake at least bizarre, isn't it...
