I have downloade the maps and done the unlocking as suggested bit these maps are not appearing in my nuvi1300 please help me in this regard.
@challa_07
Have you named the map correctly?
Have a look in the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], scroll down to 'Storing maps in devices' to find the info you need.
Seeing you're new here with only 2 posts, to start you off:
First back up any other maps with the same image name which you may wish to keep.
In the [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] of your 1300's internal memory, this is the naming convention:
Base map name: gmapbmap.img (don't remove or rename - base map only, don't use this name for any other map)
Time Zone Map: gmaptz.img (don't remove or rename - time zone map only, don't use this name for any other map)
Detail map names:
gmapprom.img
gmapprom1.img
gmapsupp.img
In a root folder Map (create it if it doesn't exist), you can have numerous maps conveniently named, e.g.: CNNT_India_2012.30.img (anyname as long as the ext is .img).
In a MicroSD/SDHC card, you may also similarly have a Folder named Map, or a single image named gmapsupp.img in a root folder named Garmin.
My preference is to use a card only for any 'unofficial' unlocked maps. That way you can just remove the card if any new map causes problems and your unit will function normally.
City Navigator India NT 2012.30
After installation give Black Screen in Garmin Mobile PC. Other Old Images working fine like MMI V6

Have you unlocked the map? Use this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. Have you named it correctly? See this post for map naming in versions of GMPC: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...].
I just used this map in my Nuvi 2595. I put it in the Map directory of my sd card. But the unit does not detect the map. My unit is bought from US.
Map works fine in my 34xx and you can see screens from it in post 21 and 25, you made something wrong probably.
Check if it's unlocked and if map name is correct
I did unlock it using gimg unlocker. The map name which I put into "SDCARD\Map\garminindia.img". But it was not detected.Quote:

Also I had removed the "gmapprom" from the .system directory which was a US map.
I will try again with the unlocked map and will post results here.
@var89
Sometimes if there is no detail map on the unit, it will not detect the maps on the sd. If you don't want a large map in there, put any small detail map in the unit's .system folder named gmapprom.img and try again.
In to my 2595LM EU,this works fine ;)Quote:

In Sd and folder Map file India_2012_30.img (name originally from archive rared)
Unlocked with gimgunlock.exe r.0.3 ;))
PS: you have renamed and maybe you double file extension? Ex: garminindia.img.img??
Check again leaving the original name ... only the breakouts and just ;)
