What do you mean with "basecamp via gMapTool"?
You can load it in MS with Gmaptool, but Bluecharts are made to be used with Homeport.
Put the .img in an sd ,virtual or real, in a Garmin folder and start Homeport, it will show fine.

I've downloaded from post #3 and updated link for part4 in post #1 with that content.
My collection of Garmin maps is to large to keep all RAR-archives. I depend slightly on other forum users to refresh data in threads there they have downloaded some content.
having same problem as cnschulz. The image loads and runs fine on my unit, but i want to also view the map in basecamp (not homeport). i can get it into basecamp, but i can only see a little bit of a new zealand tile...?
any suggestions on how to make this work in basecamp ?
Why do you want to use BaseCamp with a marine chart?
Initially you could only use BaseCamp with TOPO maps containing DEM data. Then after some releases Garmin decided to open up for more types of TOPO maps and even road navigator maps in BaseCamp (as long as the MS flag is 0) but not for marine charts as they are completely different with overlapping map tiles. Use HomePort for browsing this map on a PC or Mac.
If you absolutely want to spend unlimited hours of wasted time you can experiment with gMapTool and enable experimental options (Options tab) plus alter the TRE parameters (Write tab) for this chart. Compare the TRE parameters from a City Navigator or TOPO map and adjust the ones in this chart to similar values as BaseCamp compatible maps.
