You have to navigate to get to the good.

    Thanks.
Did anyone tried to ask Garmin what is the official solution?
I mean if you have Lifetime Update officially and an official CX map Garmin should provide some solution?

As i understand it, gandalftgray has NuMaps Lifetime for CNU and is running 2013.10 in his 3490, but was wanting to use the CX2012.40 from here with it. Garmin is not going to offer any solution for that of course. You are correct that they should offer a solution, but only if LM 2013.10 and official CX2013.10 did not work. Even if you had problems with LM 2013.10 and official CX2012.40 they would simply say that you must not mix versions, so buy their CX2013.10 to match with CN/CNU2013.10. Reading prior posts in this thread and in others will confirm this: "Don't mix different versions of CN/CNU and CX. There can be no conflict if the map info is identical in both".

I don't want to fire up this debate again...i know some mis-matched combinations do work for some models and mixes, but it's Russian Roulette. However when you have people of the stature of Ballebar and catymag warning against something, i would not keep trying if it doesn't work. This by Caty only about 9 hours ago: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], and she & BB have warned against it in older map threads.

Have downloaded FullCXEU_2012.40.img from post #1 and did put it in the Map directory of my Nuvi 2460. It never did show up under the available maps.
Then I did separate the mapset with Gmaptoolset and if I put the individual .img and .MMR files in the Map directory and the map did show up. What is wrong with mapset or do I have to rename the mapset to enable access.
Have also added an unlock key for FID 800 in an .unl file.

Did put the .img and .MMR files for Gothenburg in the Map directory but when I am going to choose mode only Car or Pedastrian is available. And the route will only be walking.
When I add the complete mapset FullCXEU_2012.40.img also to the Map directory I can chose between Drive and Public Transport. The route is partly by tram but the bus lines dont show up.

In the nuvi 1490t is availablein the map ".System": gmapprom.img, being CNEUNT2013.10.

On my µSD 16Gb card are in map "Map":

    CNEUNR2012.40.img
    ToPoBeNeLux2010.img
    Onroute Wandelkaart 1.13.img
    OpenFiets.img
    FullCXEU_2012.40.img
    FullCXEU_2012.40.unl
    Onroute Fietskaart NL 1.63.img
    CNEU13.10.img
    OpenUK-G-AU.img
    BeNeLuxFiets.img

When I switch om my 1490T I still do NOT see FullCXEU_2012.40. All the others are OK and visible.

    What is is wrong?

My next try will be the switch of CNEUNT2013.10 to the µSD and place CNEUNT2012.40 in the nuvi 1490t. :Animated71:

Apparently there is no problem. Simply map more old more smaller than the new, so it is obscured, and as in this case the same family
If the map was more new more smaller than the old one, you would see both in the INFO

    Bye,bye
