It should show fine in your device, the only thing could be different is you can have abbreviate texts on GPSMAP 60 or 76 series device.

While the Garmin Lakes mapping is compatible with these devices, some text based information may show up abbreviated on the chart. For example, a marking of a Creek Channel may show as "C.... C.....". This is a limitation of the device, and cannot be adjusted
Thanks guys had to restore to defaults to get it working.
I read every post and followed the directions exactly. Let me mention I am a noob at this. I am trying to load this on my 60csx. I downloaded and rar'd the files. I unlocked the .img file and loaded onto a blank micro sd card in the garmin folder. I installed that in my GPS and the map is not showing up. Could someone please help me...
that's all it should take. when you go to the "map setup" in "map" and go over to "information," the installed maps should be listed in a white scrollable box. If it's not listed, maybe the filename on the card is wrong or it's still locked. It also takes a bit longer to load after you power up with an sdcard containing a new map.
It did work at one point last night but then I was getting some image issues and im not sure what happened but I lost it. I have a couple questions. I probably generated more questions by reading this forum for hours last night.
1. Do I need to add the .unl file? I thought that was taken care of with the unlocker...
2. Does the file name have to be something specific?
Thanks
1) .unl is useless because FID is 2568

2) copy the unlocked gmapsupp.img in a "Garmin" folder in sd, no .unl

This is exactly what I tried and it is not working... Are there any additional steps? I read all the tutorials and cannot figure this out. Also I tried adding that map to BaseCamp Which I cant get working. I dont quite get how to get BaseCamp to see the map file... Any insight would help. I have read everything I can find...
I am using patched basecamp and mapinstall. Windows 7
Do I need GMapTool at all?
no.
image file, run gimgunlock on it , copy file into directory named "garmin" on sdcard. that's it.
...stupid question. When you say it's not working, you ARE VIEWING AN AREA INCLUDED IN THE MAP'S COVERAGE, right? For example, if i put topo spain maps on the gps but i'm panning over brazil on the GPS, it will show nothing.
