    Reasons for Needing Mapsource.

If you need only a couple of tiles where memory constrains apply (small units without memory card)
To Search Streetnames (not available in home made Mapsource)
    To design Custom Routes.
Users don't know how to use gmt etc etc.
If you can please post it on a server that we can use we would be grateful.

Or there is some kind of difference when you are uploading the map for yourself from mapsource or you will just copy the ready made image... ? Would you explain it to me? If you convince me that there is a difference I will send you the mapsource right away
I don't need this map on my nuvi. I want to have it on mapsource for travel planning and that's why I need the real mapsource version with intact search index.

    Her Links always work good.
Sadly ,cant use usual servers as non registered users, most of them dont work, most of them hang in uploading big files-

We must wait for a solution-

    Different Map Provider
    CN is Navteq
    Garmap is Tele-Atlas-Africa.
As far as Coverage of SSA and POI Garmap is better.
Garmap does not have LA,JV or Speed Limit.
For your Needs Garmap for sure.

    Info from September 19, 2011
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

It might be less differences in the future with Gamin/Garmap releases. It's possible that Garmin goes all Navteq and skips the Tele Atlas based maps since Tele Atlas belongs to the arch rival TomTom.

But it's interesting, that this new CN doesn't contain all informations from last Garmap edition. As well as I have understood [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], there wouldn't be a new Garmap edition and the CN is the successor of the Garmap.

    Hi there!
I´ve got the "img" file and got it installed (Gmaptool+Cgpsmapper) in an Asus Eee (Intel Atom N270-1.6GHz+1GB RAM) on Windows 7 Starter.
Everything is allright but...Mapsource only shows the map under 70Km map scale. No way to get an overall view of the whole area.

    Any idea about this?
    Thanks in advance!

why you dont download the mapsource version??
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

with your created version you haven't the function"search for address" on mapsource

image file is for device and mapsource for pc and device

    now to your question
open your created mapset.mp file with mapedit
    and change the zoom scale
