I still dun see the header date updated. May I know where you see the header date?
@robinang
OK..just checked it again. Info for Type2 (image only) dl still shows:
Header: 11.01.2012 16:34:38, DSKIMG, XOR 00, V 11.40, Ms 0
Same info as 2 days ago. Are they showing different info for other Types? Which one did you dl, was it Type2?
Just FYI that type5 corresponds to 2565.
@vasteel
Thanks. Re-reading my post immediately above yours, i can see that i could have worded it better. But what my question to robinang (and anyone else) meant, was: Are all the Types showing the same map info, particularly in regard to Header Date?. It appears differents packs (types) may contains map images of different header dates. I would have thought the map would be the same regardless of whatever else may be in the pack for different units (eg Type1 - 3000 series 1.1GB; Type2 - [Image Only] 56.5MB; Type3 - 1460/1350/765 406 MB; etc). Robinang has obviously downloaded a different pack/type to me and has received a map image with a different header date. I would have thought that the map would be a constant across all packs, with only the other files eg jcv 3d etc, varying.
This map is fantastic! But I wonder why the map size is many times larger than my current 2010 30 version.
To share with those with Nuvi 1250, I used the type3 file. Used the keyunlocker to unlock the map, put the map in my ..system folder and the JCV file in the JCV folder. Both works beautifully. So far no problem. But I did not try the traffic feature.
If I decide to put the map in my SD card, will it work? I know the map will work. But what about the JCV?
If the Asian 12xx paths are the same as US/EU 12xx and i think they are, putting the *.JCV file in a sub-folder named JCV of the SD's Garmin folder will work (x:\Garmin\JCV\*.jcv).
Can you or anyone else share the header info from your downloaded map from the Type3 pack or any other for that matter? I haven't had a reply to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] yet. You can find the header date with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
