Yes ,the thread has been updated to 2011.30 yesterday and the title updated, the new map is locked , as you can see in Gmaptool log. What's weird ?
Thanks a lot. Recently bought a GPS from the US and these maps work perfectly.
how to install the img file to my GPS unit?
i have a Garmin Nuvi 1490 too. i have loaded map my india v6.0 on it it works but CN INDIA NT 2011.20 doesnt even show up on the device. i've downloaded the files to the micro sd under " GARMIN " folder but the device recognises only MMI v6.0. where and how have u got the other maps to work ?
@salariya
Paths are viewable in "[Unit]:\Garmin\GarminDevice.xml"
Put your main map as "[Unit]:\.System\gmapprom.img".
MapSource transfer would be sent to "[Unit]:\.System\gmapsupp.img".
Extra maps and cityXplorer in "[Unit or memory card]:\Map\any_name.img".

Just an update of my experience with Garmin 2011.30 vs MMI V6.0 in Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Thane / Maharashtra areas
I find Garmin accuracy and routes / roads coverage much better within the city area, but poor on long distance inter-city routes in Maharashtra. MMI is better for such long inter-city driving, but not very good within the cities.
yeah thats why it is called "city navigator"Quote:

the locked version can b unlocked using fast img unlocker v 2.1.. it works perfect. I still feel MMI is a lot better when it comes to south India....
