briefly and painfully: NO
use normal NT version FID 2473
I notice the title of this thread has changed from "City Navigator Europe NTU 2012.20" to "City Navigator Europe NT 2012.20 NTU".
I find the new title rather confusing because it contains both NT and NTU. If you open the map with GMapTool, only the old title is shown in all mapset and product name values. There is no such thing as the new title in the map. Is there a reason for this change?
My guess is that some people may mistake NTU as NT in the old title. If so, I would suggest to add a comment to the old title such as "City Navigator Europe NTU (Unicode) 2012.20". Just my two cents.
This sounds great. I am new to all this and not familiar with terminology. Would you direct me to a thread that starts from ABC. Downloading the files without knowing what to do with them is not helping me much. Thanks.
NTU(nicode) - an answer from Garmin to a
question nobody asked hence causing unneccessary
confusion here too.
more important stuff has been disregarded still...
Catymag - any idea what date the recent material
from and is there a chance to get the NT UK and Germany
extracted for older memory limited devices?
kindest regards
Damian

cheers catymag, but
Mapsource is not dealing with
unlocked versions (*.img, see post #16)
I used to grab here.
in the past each country was applicable
in separated img at Noeman's.
since the new devices with big memory
came out they are almost gone.
big countries each European is crossing
more or less (e.g. Germany has the most neighbours
in the world - 9!) been clumped together
with those many of us don't know how to spell.
I doubt that the date the Mapset was saved
is in tune the maps been scanned at Garmin.
isn't it like road maps which running at least a
year behind when they are printed?
regards
Damian
