Many thanks! Problem solved!
I did not have it in a Garmin folder on the SD card.
Out of interest:
1. As this is an .img file am I correct in assuming it cannot be used in Mapsource but only on the GPS unit
2. I note the maps are in Russian . Its there an English "conversion"
Many thanks once again for a very helpful forum:good:
You can see an .img in Basecamp: insert the sd in your pc and open Basecamp.
Not possible to convert it in english
For english version look at this one, but not a topo.

If your device have a support for Russian font why do you seek for English version? Many of Russian names have a very troublesome transcription. You will try detect suitable variant in English transliteration more time. Only 33 letter in the Cyrillic alphabet and part of it have the equivalent in Latin.Quote:

Trust me! In other country the much better for me use Latin when my native Cyrillic language. In France especially! :)
Hi - first, many thanks for this nice forum!
About the Russian Topo map - I understand that the 3 links set contain ALL map, and the West and East parts of Russia (splitted to avoid the 2gb limit)
However the ALL map and the West one, for example, are only 100Mb difference, West+Est .img together are almost double than the all map. Do they have different, more detailed data?
And if they are different, can someone post the decoded images of West and East 6.12? (I tried decode one of them on my computer but I lack 2Gb of memory needed by XoR program for this huge file... Thanks!
