Thanks, catymag and dasilvarsa. I recognize I am taking up a lot of space on something that is very simple for you. It's just not for me. To begin with, there is conflicting data from what I read. As an example in the very post catymag refers me to, which I have gone over and over and over, it states "Why 37xx and newer excluded ? Coz 37xx series and newer need a special map with a changed FID : FID 800". I have a Nuvi 1300. Doesn't that imply that the FID is NOT 800? That FID 800 is for 37xx and newer equipment?
Next the .unl file: One post in the thread says you need to have the serial number of the Garmin in the file, or it's implied. I don't know does that mean the serial number needs to be placed in the actual .unl file OR simply in the JetMouse to generate the unlock number. I shall PM it to you.
I have checked the GmapTool and it is the exact same as what you have posted dasilvarsa
My Nuvi 1300 clearly is NOT set up correctly because none of the data show in the detailed instructions associated with the link in post 15 is in the Nuvi 1300. Here is the GmapTool data:
File: C:/Users/xxxx/Desktop/Amsterdam_2013_41/Amsterdam_2013_41.img, length 14321664

End.
dasilvarsa, I cannot PM anyone but staff as I do not have 15 posts yet. I tried to pm you and couldn't find where you attach a file in a PM....maybe because I can't PM you yet. I really appreciate all this time you're taking for and with me. I really do.
Note by MOD: use the Visitor Message...no files in attached also in PM. Use the site of hosting and link in TAG CODE. Thanks ;)

This kind of hack has been made for nuvi 37xx and following, but works in every CX compatible units as stated in linked thread.
(1200/1300 too)
In 1300 you could use map FID ,but you need original map and unlock with Jetmouse and NT map FID and PID 2.
These FID 800 maps are already unlocked in CN part so .unl for FID of CN map part is useless, you must just unlock MMR part with FID 800.
To test it you must simulate and put your position on map in the city ,in this case Amsterdam, then ask for a route from your position in Amsterdam to the address you choosen to reach in Amsterdam.
All this is explained with pictures in linked thread ,but nodody reads it ;)

Edit :I send you by pm the .unl to put in folder

Things to check:
Map name must be the same of both files (just extension changes)
Check extension is ok and files names are not Amsterdam.img.img and Amsterdam.unl.unl or Amsterdam.unl.txt (enable hidden ext in Windows)
Pedestrian navigation must be enabled.
Is in Map folder (big M)
Map is FID 800 one for FID 800 .unl
Nuvi unit id you used in Jetmouse is the right one, check in Garmindevice.xml in Garmin folder in nuvi.
I have no other ideas lol ;)
Edit :If CX is in Maps list after using .unl file I sent you, it means CX is unlocked correctly ,enable ped. nav. and test by simulating your position in Amsterdam: Browse map to Amsterdam, tap on map, save position, then browse the map again ,choose another location and hit GO.

I tested this map in my Nuvi 1300 today and it works for tram train and metro.
I simulated from city center to schipol airport and it works fine.

@ dasilvarsa , yes Cx is unlocked and present in map list but EPM can be locked because of wrong unit id used in JM.
-
Nuvi 1300 fully functioning.
-
I struggled with this as well the first time !
Easy way to get correct unit id is Tools Settings System About (Top line 10 digits.)
I hope the OP manages, Jetmouse 1.5 works well for this.
If the unl is wrong you can still use the Map for Driving and Walking but no Public Transport (EPM).

What do you have in : Garmin device.xml in Garmin folder ?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
-<Device xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GarminDevice/v2 http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GarminDevicev2.xsd" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GarminDevice/v2">-<Model><PartNumber>006-B1101-00</PartNumber><SoftwareVersion>xxx</SoftwareVersion><Description>nüvi 1300</Description></Model><Id>xxxxxxxxxx</Id>
Don't post it here but check is the same you used in JM

I wrote I was having blonde time! It WAS the wrong unit ID number! I was using the serial number on the chassis of the unit! Thanks to catymag and dasilvarsa for sticking it out with me. I now have full enhanced pedestrian mode with public transport.
I have learned quite a bit from this exercise. I now have a much better understanding of "stuff" AND I have some tools: The Keyen and the Gmaptool.

I have a Nüvi 860 with CityNavigator NT 2014.10 installed.
Which fürther information will be shown with the cityXplorer on my unit ?
Will it use public transportation for routing ?
