Tracks4Africa Maps Traveller’s Africa Pro CD v.10.10.02
T4A GPS Maps are a set of 14 regional GPS maps covering most parts of the African continent. If you are a tourist or business traveller and looking for a GPS map to guide you through Africa then you would appreciate the accuracy and detail of T4A GPS Maps
African GPS maps are routable in most parts of Southern and Eastern Africa and can in fact give you turn-by-turn directions from Cape to Cairo. Do not expect complete wall to wall coverage from our maps. Are mapped only places that are relevant to travellers .
Contains a comprehensive and accurate list of protected areas such as nature reserves in Africa and T4A supports the Mapa project in order to keep this resource the most relevant and accurate inventory of conservation areas in Africa.
T4A GPS Maps will take you to the most incredible places on the African continent and we boast a very comprehensive set of tourist destinations. Be it the Ngorongoro Crater or Gorilla trekking in Rwanda or simply a very good restaurant in Cape Town you are after, they'r mapped.
Contains an incredibly rich set of points of interest which is absolutely relevant to the independent traveller in Africa. Maps cover more than 65 000 points of interest ranging from activities, attractions to fuel stops and emergency services, accommodation such as hotels, guest lodges, backpackers as well as the most comprehensive listing of camp sites in Africa.
On new version v10.10 Namibia, Free State, Eastern Cape, KZN and RSA Western Cape, Northern Cape has a (Topo) and (Navigational) map.
I installed the maps in my garmin XT on HTC Touch running windows 6. When i run search, since garmin inputs only capital letters, the search results only consist of names that are also in caps. E.g. Oxford street will not show up if i type OXFORD. Anyone who has been able to solve this?
The map works perfect on my nüvi 200. A friend of mine has a nüvi 765T on which it does not seem to work.
When viewing the world base map and zooming in, the moment the map switches over from the base map to the T4A map, it goes blank (white) with just geographical names shown (towns, street names). The name of the map is shown in the Map Info menu though, so I know it is recognized by the unit. Is there a compatibility issue with the nüvi 765T? I found a question of such nature in another forum, but no answer as yet. Could anyone with a nüvi 765 give it a try and report here? Thanks.
