Hi Friendly
gmap3d is a separate file and are not included in the map's IMG file
and to use gmap3d map navigator must have support for this map
Thank you kenta2,
I have a 765t that does support the 3d and didn't want to download the entire files with my slow DSL connection and find out it wasn't there.
was 3d file posted already?
NA 2011.40 3d file. Could not find it anywhere. Guess it's not posted yet. Meanwhile using 3d map from version 2011.30 and working fine. gmap3d.img from v2011.30 at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
just when I thought the N00B in me what wearing off with this stuff, this mapset bit me.
I downloaded and installed as per instructions. Mapsource shows the setup just fine, as it has with the Inland lakes, Topo US and Canada, and a few other maps I have put in. I had CN NA 2008 installed, and tried to put this on to upgrade. As I said, shows up in mapsource fine, but when I send it to my GPSmap60CSX, the mapset does not show up.
Any ideas other than telling me "Your an idiot, go back to shovelling cow crap for income"?
Some questions.
Have you renamed it like CNNA 2008 to gmapprom.img ? If you unlocked it, have you deleted previous gmapprom.unl ?
Other maps covering the same area are deselected ?
I am in the process now of attempting the transfer again. I did not delete the old .img from the card, and assumed that might be the problem. The only thing left on the card when I started this time was GPX files. As far as other maps covering that area, they overlying maps are there, and I can see them, but City Nav does not even show up as a show/hide map option in the menu. I generally run with all maps but city Nav turned off, and only when I am fishing/hiking/walking/screwing around do I turn off city nav and turn on the appropriate map.
if you have problems post a screen of you unit root, so we can see what's wrong in it ;)
I have a Kenwood DNX-9140. It uses Garmin maps, however does anyone know what kind of Garmin unit it is based on?
