This all you need to remember, 3790 does not need the names changed on maps EG: gmapsupp etc,
1. Make a folder on you sd card called ...garmin make another called maps.
2. generate a unl file with notepad and call it gmapsupp.unl....place this file in garmin folder
3. Cityxplorer maps....DO NOT USE UNLOCKERS. the maps are unlocked, all you do is extract the Melbourne, sydney etc maps to the folder called ...maps. NO need to change map names..just extract and drag into map folder.
Remember you can place you sd card in your reader and drap drop.
IT WORKS!
...
Folder "maps"???
As described in [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] the folders to use on a memory card are "Garmin" (put "gmapsupp.unl" here) and "Map" (put extra maps and CX maps here). Don't use "maps" as a folder name if you want your Garmin unit to find any *.img files in that folder.
All paths that the unit expects to use can be found in the "[GPS unit drive]:\Garmin\GarminDevice.xml" file.
For nüvi 37xx it's essential to use the special versions from this thread. Otherwise it's hard to circumvent the GMA certificate authentication if you don't have bought a download directly from Garmin.

Also it is bullshit that train stations are not easily found, try and find Flinders streed station or any in poi under transit there is nothing.. if you do a search somehow it is found with other options of same name, this is crap.
...
What? Bullshit NOT easily found or bullshit easily found?
"it is bullshit that train stations are not easily found" (here you actually say that it's easy to find station POIs)
"try and find Flinders streed station or any in poi under transit there is nothing" (here you say that there's nothing to find)
Using "Where To?" / "Points of Interest" / "Transit" / "Ground Transportation":

Maybe do simple test with cityxplorer starting from Melbourne international airport to end at crown casino using pedestrian mode and let us know.

Here's an example with
cityXplorer Melbourne 2012.10 Sensis:

Gives an initial long walking distance at the airport.
Otherwise it connects to available public transportation hubs.
