Hi,
How do you manage to use them all at the same time? Do you rename the IMG files to gmapsupp.img when necessary? Or have you joined them all into a single IMG file?
Second, could somebody please explain me once again: is there any use of having say CityXplorer Helsinki, or CityXplorer Oslo when I already have City Navigator Europe? (Caty, I've seen your post, thank you; however, I still do have some questions left but can't post them to where I started them because you've closed the topic; Please tell me if I am doing something wrong and this is against the rules to ask questions like that.)
The reason I am asking is because I've had different experience in routing for pedestrian roaming when using City Navigator Russia and CityXplorer Saint-Petersburg. When using City Navigator NT Russia in Garmin Mobile XT with pedestrian mode enabled I've had routing in Saint-Petersburg completely different to what I had with CityXplorer Saint-Petersburg. The Garmin Mobile XT was providing improper routing on CN Russia resulting in routes that were far away from reality. It seemed like the map simply hasn't had any information about 'pedestrian' object for many of the streets. I switched to CityXplorer and... voila! it resulted in proper short routes that were exactly what I needed. Imagine, some routes have shortened by 100%! Is it because something went wrong with CN Russia and in fact the maps are just identical (providing that I could cut the Saint-Petersburg's map from CN Russia instead of installing the CityXplorer)?
Also, is it correct that CityXplorer provides navigation information that suggests which public transport can be used to get to destination in the city whereas the City Navigator's maps do not provide this info? Say, I've heard that CityXplorer suggests the route where it includes buses, metro and other transport I could take to reach the destination address whereas the City Navigator's map does not provide this info.
Thank you.
First sorry for that closed thread, I havent closed it and it's not the first time I find some threads closed and no infos in my admin log , probably a VB bug . We upgraded it recently.
CXs provide pedestrian infos and offer public transports to reach your destinations , but just in compatible devices.(Look at 3790 screens posted in this thread)
In not compatible devices maps should be the same than in City Navigators, coz maps are the same-

In my city and in cities I tested in simulation mode it's the same map.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

Oh, that software! No problem at all. Thank you for your continuous help!
Now I see. Well, it could be that routing layers in Garmin City Navigator Russia NT 2011.40, Garmin Roads of Russia 5.21 andCXs provide pedestrian infos and offer public transports to reach your destinations , but just in compatible devices.(Look at 3790 screens posted in this thread)

Garmin Roads of Russia Topo 6.08 are different to that of CityXplorer (I used original, not edited in MapSource IMG files). If I only knew how to get this info from the IMG file... Garmin says that CityXplorer maps provide "the same mapping detail as City Navigator maps". It could be though that it is Garmin's Mobile XT, which incorrectly routes in pedestrian mode where several modes are embedded into the map?..
By the way, do you know if it's possible to fix that [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Thank you once again!
I did a test on my Nuvi 205W ... But I did not succeed
- I used the Keygen JetMouse to create the unlock code for the map.
- These maps work on the Nuvi 205W?
No ,these are unlocked for 37xx series, but cityxplorers maps dont work on your device with all their features.

I've tried using the below instructions but have a problem.
"Maps are unlocked but for enhanced pedestrian mode you need additionally *.unl file generated with Jetmouse Keygen
Use JetMouse Keygen to create an unlock code for your Unit ID and Custom Mapset with MapID --> 800. Write the unlock code to text file with name *.unl.
Save as "all files"
Copy files *.img, *_3D.img if present and *.unl to Map directory on your nuvi or preferably to SD card.
These unlocked maps will work in Nuvi 37xx series too ,abilitating pedestrian mode and public transports features-"
I downloaded City Explorer New York City.
I renamed the map gmapprom1 and copied to my Nuvi 1350T in System Folder
The map appears when reviewing installed maps.
The gmap3d.img was also copied to the system folder, this map does not appear.
I am not sure which map needs the unlock key, I assume it's the gmap3D.img.
Used the jetmouse KG with checksum and generated key for Map ID 800, named it gmap3d.unl put in System folder, but map does not appear.
Tried renaming the file gmapprom1.unl thinking the main map needs to be unlocked, that still doesn't let the 3D map appear.
This map must appear for the enhanced pedestrian feature to work, according to Garmin this feature works on the 1350T.
Can somebody please explain what I did wrong.
