Request for Friluftskartan Prime G6
if anyone have it ?
Thanks
If you install the latest Ireland Topo in the Map list, this will give you a more updated(but not routeable unfortunately) map than City Select Europe 2011.20, (which still doesnt have the Abbeyleix bypass, new Waterford Carriageway, or the any of the continuation of the Dub-Galway dualcarriageway past Athlone). Garmin tend to lag behing by 2 years for Irish Mapping (even if they quote 2011 for their latest city navigator), simply because Navteq must get updated maps from OSI(Ordinance Survey Ireland), who dont readily release info on new bypasses, carriageways, etc.Quote:

The latest topo does have the entire M8 including the Abbeyleix bypass, all of the M6 to Galway, and a fair bit of the M9 to Waterford.
If you transfer both City Select 2011.20 and the Ireland Topo from Mapsource to your Garmin, and select/deselect which mapsets you want, you should have the best compromise.
I use the Ireland Topo on the bicycle or when hillwalking,as it has all the paths, trails and walking routes (even in public parks) and deselect it (enabling City navigator Europe 2011) when I actually need to go somewhere. Despite its 5/3 layers, you can see the mapset in mapsource by selecting the Emerald Isle TOP-OSM-MLG-PIL layer in the Mapsource map drop down window.
I guess by next year all the bypasses will be finished, so Garmin 2013 should have all the updated Ireland road networks, but dont hold your breath.
Keep an eye on the new Loc8ter codes being introduced by Garmin this year

Dont forget as yet, there are no Specific Garmin Ireland maps, they are under the City Select Europe umbrella.
Garmin Friluftskartan PRIME 7H and 8H would be great if anyone have to share...
And thanks for the Boden map!
