Is there any ways to just use Homeport on PC without using garmin device?
I don't have garmin device and I think I need unit ID to add the map to Homeport on PC.
You can either use a USB mass storage device (USB stick, attached memory card or Garmin unit - NOT a USB external hard drive) or a virtual equivalent on your hard drive. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

HomePort is designed to read locked BlueChart g2 & BlueChart g2 Vision charts. That was the whole original idea from Garmin when they released the product.
It will of course also work with unlocked charts
