I know, every Nuvi who supports Citymaps can support "free" filenames. So also the 37xx
My question is, what is the original filename, obviously indonesia.jcv won't work
Hi, Tom1807
You said jcv did not work.
You mean your device can detect jcv file ( but can not display ), or your device can not detect the jcv file ??
For me (GarminAsusM10) , M10 can detect jcv but can not display.
For original name of jcv file.., I am sorry to say I have no idea.
Device doesn't detect the JCV file, and as written before, the name "indonesia.jcv" sounds quite unusual.
I have a Nuvi765 TW, thats why I am asking
Cheers
Tom
Yup,..It means that Your Garmin Firmware was protected to Display Indonesia JCV. For Example if we buy Garmin from Singapore, Indonesia JCV can not Displayed....
Sorry, u are wrong in this case, I can flash my machine to SG/MAL FW, and JCV should be displayed. But without the right filename, it can't be detected by the Nuvi.
Similar like Thai JCV, it can be used but would show "Pirated Copy" if its not on SG/MAL FW
I am using the Nuvi 765, i also got the same massage "Model in tidak mendukung fitur jvc.. Can anyone help?
Guys there must have a keygend just for the jvc.. cause we are missing the indonesia.sum
The JCV is encrypted, I think it only works on units bought in Indonesia (they might have some particular unique HWIDs). I personally have an American model 260W flashed to 2W Mal/SG firmware and the same problem happens. Lane assist & Highway mode works though.
SUM Files are Checksum data, nothing related to a keygenQuote:

I agree with boqonx that the JCV file is connected to the HW ID
