Thanks for the reply. I use the patched mapsource versiion.
I got 3 img files: gmapbmap, gmapbsupp and gmapz
1 sub file gmapbmap
2 xml files
I selected 4 card with 200 mb from mapsource to upload not the whole stuff
The only thing I get is locked card or blank maps. I can search for places but when I zoom in or want to make a road the only thing I see is the pointer.
I tried other cards and I must be doing something wrong as they turn up empty to.
The only thing I do see, when enabled is the base mape from North America
Rename as said it and put the original unpacked img on a flashdrives delivers locked cards.
Can anybody help me out?
in your sd just one gmapsupp.img is supported and it must be in a Garmin directory- if you want more than one map ,you must merge them with gmaptool. If it's locked you must add an unlock file made with notepad.
In your unit you will have gmapbmap.img that's the basemap , the preinstalled gmapprom.img( your old map) and gmapz
(timezone map)

It's so simple. This worked great. With mapsource I can Create one IMG file from different maps. Great help!
Hello to everyone!
I have a question. For what "gmapz" (Timezone map) is?
The Timezone map is what allows the nuvi to automatically reset it's time according to which Timezone you're in.Quote:

I should put this file just in Garmin's directory?
By the way, what letters NT and nonNT mean next to the maps?

non NT is a different compression format for old Garmin devices
NT is the new one
