MD2 stands for MicroDEM files, whether the 765 supports them is not quite sure. If yes, then should be in the same folder like the map, if this doesn't work, create a folder called MD2 in the root and place the file there

on jetmouse keygen v1.5 put either the 10 digit gps unit id number (will be unlocked only in your gps)or the sd serial # (it will be unlocked in any gps you put the sd card
under-select map product --on the bottom ---custom map set---add the maps FID# also called mapid #
click generate a few times on the bottom-all those numbers will unlock the map--copy that 25 digit number into the gmapsupp.unl file --- don't add a enter --just 25 digits on the first line ----
on a sd card create a garmin directory--in that directory copy your gmapsupp.unl file (unlock file) and the gmapsupp.img
When you save the .UNL file in Notepad, be sure you set the "Save as type" to "All Files", not "Text Documents".
Nice map! Thanks!
For joanim
I tried with 8Go SD card SDHC on my 255 WT. it works very good with maps City Navigator Europe 2011.10 NT around 1.4 Gb
i have CN NT 2009. Does it realy make sense to update on 2011.10 ? I'm from Germany.
You can see latest CNEU hereNew map can have some features more, I think you will get for example speed limits on roads.Code:http://www8.garmin.com/cgi-bin/mapgen/webmap.cgi?p=144441345&z=5&x=300&y=225&w=600&h=450
I've successfully installed 2011.10 to my PC (using the full Mapsource version), unlocked it, and transferred a small part of the map to my 265WT. It was small enough to fit in the remaining space on the Garmin itself. And it looks like it works! :)
A couple of more questions:
1- Let's say I want to remove the GMAPSUPP.IMG file (the small mapset created) on the Garmin and replace it with something else. What's the process? Do I simply delete the IMG using Windows Explorer, or is there a way to do it within Mapsource?
OK, I figured this one out - looks like only one supplemental map is allowed and the first is over-written
2- There is no GMAPSUPP.UNL file in the Garmin directory. Should there be one?
3- Out of curiosity, how is the unlocked GMAP folder (available for download in Post#1) created? It looks to be one of the subdirectories from the full Mapsource version. Is that all it is? I'm just trying to understand this a little better.
Thanks!!!
I wouldn't change files on the Garmin device. I think it's safer to put new maps on an SD card. You can select regions in MapSource then transfer them on the SD card (you can insert the SD in the Garmin or use a card reader).Quote:
