I would just like to clarify that the names are spelled in English letters, not Chinese characters, but are phonetic conversions from its Chinese name. So to search in this map, one needs to know how the Chinese name sounds like, convert it phonetically to English letters, then try and hope your spelling is the same as the one in the map's database. Therefore if you are going to look for Hennessy Rd., which is a very popular road, you're gonna have to know its Chinese name before you can convert and look for it.

I found another IMG file here that has a Hong Kong map, it's the Garmin City Navigator for South East Asia 4.5 NT. I believe this is older, but the street names are in English if need be (Sugar St. is Sugar St.). Please take note that some Hong Kong streets do not have English names, like Kwong Wah St., or Sai Yeung Choi St., which are fine, at least they are spelled like that even in printed Hong Kong maps you get at the airport. In these printed maps, they use "Sugar St." instead of "Tang Jie".

I really hope this 7.61 version has a version with street names similar to that of the South East Asia 4.5 NT one.

    Thanks and regards.
Hi lussie, i understand what you are trying to say.

You are correct in pointing out that although v7.61 is in English, the naming convention for the street names are in Han Yu Pin Yin for HK and even Macau too. Thus, until another English map is available, you might want to stick with the IMG file for Garmin City Navigator for South East Asia 4.5 NT (which has the street names in English that you mentioned) in the mean time.
