Default 5.2 displays twice under map info in garmin 650

This is very exciting to see the level of detail in baja, but I am puzzled about why the map Mexico GPS Atlas 2010 v 5.2 shows up twice (loaded on memory card under garmin directory) in the garmin. From the PC there is only one image file in the card garmin directory. The map displays properly in the areas I have looked, and I havent tried unclicking one of them and searching around to find if there are actually two areas....

Below the Mexico GPS Atlas 2010 v 5.2 in both cases the same subtitles are displayed:
    {1} Occidental 8, Ismo 4, Itsmo 5....etc to Itsmo 7

Could it be the img file contains two parts that happen to be named the same covering different areas...or?

    Any explanation for this?

    Perhaps a rookie question...

    Thanks

I will look up gmaptool, thx.
After unchecking them one at a time, rebooting garmin, one appears to have the detailed data, and the other appears to be some basemap. This second does not show the map "squares" like the detail one.

Having just returned from baja, this would have been a handy tool - I tried the gps with its current stock map a couple of times, but the existing roads shown south of the border were very simple and most of the time I was shown driving offroad from mex 1...

Thx again for the fast response!

Map shows twice because tiles don't have the same priority. Most have priority 25 but one have 31. This is probably an error. It can be corrected with gmaptool, "write" tab and "set priority".
The same problem is present in version 5.3.

Not I, I have no idea what a tile is in terms of maps.
Can we have a fixed version then available for download then? Not many of us want to mess around with the gmaptool.

Tile is a single map file in mapset. Mapsource concatenate all tiles of a mapset into one gmapsupp.img. On outdoor GPS you can switch on/off single tile, on nuvi only full mapset.

Oh, when you zoom out, you can see rectangles, that shows each tile area.
