Unfortunately these links no longer work. Can someone be so kind as to reupload them. Megaupload preferred as I have a premium account :)

Did you try downloading from the megaupload link provided on the first page for the Mapsource version. I believe it has the Junction View and 3D Bldgs.Quote:

Hi Catymag. I have downloaded and installed on my PC from those links above however I do not think they have 3D buildings/lane assisant/junction view. How can I tell? I downloaded the seperate files from the first post for lane assist and junction view however I do not know where to place these files in my Garmin device. Any help would be greatly apprecated thanks!Quote:

yes they have coz they'r extracted from there, 3D building and Lane Assistant files should be placed in the Garmin folder, which is in the unit (not on the memory card!). But they works only with the Garmin Nuvi 7x5 series and the Garmin zūmo 660 GPS navigatorsQuote:

Ok now I'm really confused. If the MapSource version includes the 3D/Lane Assist/JCV, how do I transfer this to my device? Is this data somehow integrated in the GMAPSUPP.IMG file? When I browse my Garmin device there is a JCV folder which contains the older junction view file (.jcv file). Do I need to upload this as well as the gmap3d.img file to the /GARMIN/ folder on my Nuvi 1390T? Please excuse my ignorance! I have experience working with the .IMG files but the 3d view and junction view is new to me.Quote:

rename them like the older ones and replace them in the same position in your nuvi
Informative link thank you. I will try that with the .jcv and the 3dmap.img file I have. I'm not sure if you are aware but it appears that Garmin has changed their map loading location on their newer devices. The gmapprom.img file is now stored in a hidden folder called ".system". There still is a GARMIN directory but it does not contain any .img files. As a test I moved the gmapprom.img into the GARMIN folder and the map was not recognized so it looks like now all .img maps must be placed in the .system folder. I have a Nuvi 1390T not sure how the other models work but I'm assuming their new "slim" Nuvi models work the same way.Quote:
