hey guys, my N82 on 5.00.40 with china city navigator ENG v6.5s NT working fine on navigation, hv tried it last sept 09 & july 09 w/o problem,
I tried the china 6.5 in Beijing on a Nuvi 750 last summer and it still had the offset.
hv u try & set it to navigation instead of just showing location? i hv been using it for navigation frm guang zhou to dong guan stay a nite. than to shen zhen baiyun airport. even taxi driver need a bit of hlp frm my N82 & E75. i run it together with my nuvi 205 preloaded 7.5 china map which i bought in G.Z. both show almost d same route....
Can someone please re-upload the unlocked image file to megaupload.
Thanks.
done updated in post 1
thank you
for sharing ;)
Will try this file when i have it and am downloading it now. i am in china now so if it works i will let you know. i have tried one download already with offset allegedly fixed but was still on average about 500m out.
Thank you very much for posting this!
I do have a problem however. I've downloaded the unlocked version (unlocked.img), renamed it to gmapsupp.img and put it in the garmin directory of the SD card. Is that all that is required?
I also downloaded the 003.rar (400KB) and un-rar'ed it which extracted a setup.exe file. What are we supposed to do with this file? I attempted to run it on my PC, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks again for posting, and any help would be greatly appreciated :)
the gmapsupp.img must be in a Garmin named folder in mmcQuote:

if 003.rar is gmap3d & jcv file should be placed in the Garmin folder, which is in the unit (not on the memory card!). But do not forget, that they works only with the Garmin Nuvi 7x5 series and the Garmin zūmo 660 GPS navigators
Well what can i say? i have now been using this map version for a few days in Jiangsu province and Shanghai and it works great, that is when i can get a decent sat fix. i am using Nokia N97 and the GPS reciever is not that great so does tend to get a little confused when surrounded by very tall buildings but the map is accurate to within 20m usually.
Thanks a lot for this, I would recommend this one as the best i have tried in China.
