Is that available in a file saved to an SD?
I guess that one was to hard. Let's try an easier one. Does a GPSMAP 546s track log use chart depth or sonar depth?
It does record depth, doesn't it? Must one pay Garmin for this information, or is it just hidden in Easter Eggs, to be discovered?
    I know, that's three questions.

In my 62st in saved tracks i can see quote, distance, date, time and position of saved points. These are viewable in Basecamp and saved in a file.
In gps look in the GPX folder for the files .gpx.The current.gpx file contains your actual Trip Log (track) and saved Favorites.

I donnow, never own a plotter but in specs i can read :•Auto Guidance technology searches through all relevant charts to create a route you can actually follow - one that avoids obstacles, shallow water, buoys and other obstructions and these tracks can be saved as well as waypoints to an SD card

more infos[Only registered and activated users can see links. ], require registration (russian language), you can ask directly to GPSMapEdit author

Hi all: I have a Nuvi 1490T and would like to update the 2010 map of North America. After reading at the Garmin site if you replace the map with the 2011 you loose Lane assist with junction view guides you to the correct lane for an approaching turn or exit, making unfamiliar intersections and exits easy to navigate. They suggest updating to maintain these features.
Which is the correct map for the update?
    Thank You in advance

First back up the maps you have in your gps and related *.unl codes.
After that, you must unlock the new CNNAM gmapsupp.img (1.24 gb) with
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
    (you'll need a pc)
then rename it gmapprom.img and replace the old one you have in your unit, delete the old gmapprom.unl file in Garmin directory.
You dont need gmap3d coz your unit doesnt support it, copy gmaptz in the same directory of your gmapprom.img, it's unlocked.

Long time don't see, First let me apologize for the way I handed my last request answer. Then let us not stay in the past, and go forward with the current issue, I am currently having two issues with my garmin nuvi 255w. The first one is, that after litte time on battery, it just turns off by itself, even tough the battery, appears to be almost completely full. The second one, is that navigation, and specially, on the route, it has become extremely slow, it takes an eternity to turn on a street, and another wile to recognize, that you went off the route suggested. Let me explain better, when following a route, it moves extremely slower that you are in fact moving, and you can recognize that when you make a turn, you see how slow it is, and also when you get off the trail, it takes a wile to recognize that you went off, and when you want to cancel, and make another route, it also takes a wile to do so.(I mean to cancel and let you go on the where to menu, or otherwise any menu).
I will like to thank you in advance for your invaluable help.
