You have to navigate to get to the good.

    Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600

what is a PPC? what is the painless edition? what can i possibly use? do i download the base maps? how can it possibly be painless??? is the international version more efficient than the taiwan version? it contains parts of what you have previously explained. will this possibly work on my i8910?

Garmin Mobile XT for Symbian S60 v5.00.60 International Painless-Edition

This version is based on Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.60 Taiwan Version.

    Included are:
    - Supportfiles, this means voices don't need be downloaded seperately
    - Wordwide Basemap dated August 31, 2007
Background Services and TSRAutostart.exe are disabled by default, still can enable in Extras -> Settings
Pictures and Fonts are set to hidden, to avoid that they are showing up in the gallery.
    Additional Folder "Unlock".
This contains the Jetmouse Keygen, the modified Jetmouse Keygen for 5-digit MapID's, the IMEI Converter and empty gmapsupp.unl/sw.unl files

    Download Instructions:
    Rapidshare protected by Linksave

    Password: tom1807

    Installation:
Unzip and copy all files and folders, except the "Unlock" folder to the root folder of your SD Card (E:\)
Run GarminMobileXT.sis - so, this means i have to look for the correct *.sis file to install the garmin properly. is the *.sis on this international edition in the root folder of the garmin or the other one? "let me guess...hmmm. ooops! wrong. better reinstall again.". do i also overlap the blank *.unl files? do i delete these? from the beginning. i am already confused. do i use the taiwan version or the international painless one?

i am now stuck in #4. i am a trouble shooter for cars and parts. i say its easy coz ive done it before when the other one is scratching his head and swearing that he doesnt understand. i think this is karma...next. do i really need the help function from the previous version to install this?

so, what is the map id for the philippines then? i am still in the 'theoretical phase and have not yet installed the garmin mobile xt. again.

i dont get it. how do i change a *.txt to a *.unl. 2nd, how do i do this without having to buy that program? it costs $9.99. i dont have a credit card. is there a free trial or freeware that i could use? the y-browser perhaps? this one i have downloaded from lonelycat games. i think its a free trial version. i havent opened it yet. i think i may have OCPD.

If you have a FP2 phone, I would recommend running the Garmin update to Mobile XT 5.00.60
You will also need to run the new installer file located at \Garmin\Apps\Symbian\res\GarminMobileXT.sis rather then the one in the root of the folder.- is it okay to delete this one?
Instruction for PPC in attach- what is this? how do i work this? when i read this through it says windows mobile device. i dont get it. where is the *.sis file located? i think the i8910 is in-line with Feature Pack 2.

Edit: for those wanting to know how to get your map ID from GMAPSUPP.IMG, see "Getting.Garmin.MapID.zip" - so how do i go about this one too? do i also buy the binary thingee that would be able to read the codes so i can activate the garmin mobile xt map?

i know this is extra trouble for you guys. but, it would be best if the developer of the garmin mobile xt here has a single package.

    for example:

    symbian OS
    mobile xt for FP1. link:
    mobile xt for FP2. link:
    maps and generated key. link:

    windows mobile
    mobile xt. link:
    maps and keys. link:

    so on and so forth...

sorry for the trouble and the stupid posts. i would really love to get my hands on this piece of software. dont mistake me. i truly am grateful. i am just overwhelmingly confused!
now, since all the mobile OS are strung up into a single mobile XT version (the .60)its so confusing to dissect it all. i really dont get it.

all the facts stop after post #6 of "the simple guide to...." thread.

Hello, I have downloaded the latest mapsource files from ling below, but this only appears to be an update, so it wont install... Where could I find a copy of the inital installation files? I have searched "mapsource" and it came back with nothing. Which I thought was odd as well.

I have the SW.UNL file/Unlocked Maps/Erased the old Garmin.mscr and copied the new one from one of the posts.
Deleted the stuff under /Settings folder when i ran the second time.
But still no luck. Am not sure what i am missing.
Here's a look at the Error Log i saw in Settings folder. If it makes sense pls help me out guys.
