Interesting that Garmin let Telstra Australia slip through the net with the iphone v. android thing. I know i'm still off subject but i'll shut up about it after this: Telstra owns WhereiS, a huge map supplier to Garmin in Oz. Draw your own conclusions as to why Telstra has an android app for garmin but no one else in the world has. Garmin also uses Navteq (now a nokia co. as you'd know) but not as much. The WhereiS maps are not as good as Navteq in my experience. I prefer to use the Navteq truckies map, even the older one's are more up to date than the current WhereiS in a lot of cases. For instance, I live in a semi-rural area, in a cul-de-sac street that has existed for over 50 years. When i enter it, WhereiS thinks i'm off-road.... but not Navteq. I should stop bagging Telstra, not just 'coz i'm a shareholder but because they have far reaching tenticles.....oh, dear me... i think that's them at the door now.. aggghhh...
Searching firmware in *.rgn or *.gcd format or something else that helps repair restarting Garmin Asus nuvifone G60. [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. Thanks.
Garmin say that in 2012 will create Garmin app for android like app for iphone (onboard)
:) :) where did you read about it ?
I send mail to Garmin about RTL Trap in 5.70 FW for nuvi 1xxx.
Garmin send me 4 mail to reset, delite gupdate.gcd.......
Then i ask about garmin for Android and garmin say that for Android is navigon.
I write back that i love Garmin but i hate navigon and that Garmin create app (onboard) for Iphone and Garmin Navigator for Australia (internet connection) and if in Europa live second class people or why we dont have on Android Garmin navigator app.
Then i got back mail that in year 2012 will Garmin release Onboard Garmin app for Android phone and that a lot people ask the same question about android app.
Woohoo....that will give me another reason to finally ditch symbian:sad:, go android & not i(suck)phone.. inyaface iphone!
Hello! I need help! I'm not total beginner. I was using Garmin on previous phone, with no problems, everything worked just fine. Nokia 6120. I changed phone, bought Nokia C5-03. I install Garmin, create map, send it to phone, register Garmin, bla, bla...But, first problem was when I instaling garminxt.sis, it says: not compatible with phone, version is 5.00.60. I installed it anyway, and application starts, but when I star using map on mobile, after several seconds Garmin freeze. When I'm in garmin menu, then don't freeze.
Can anyone tell, what can be wrong? Maybe bad map?
PS Sorry for bad English
Garmin doesnt support Symbian anymore since a lot , hard to say what's wrong with new Symbian OS, freezing is usually a memory problem.
Your C5-03 is running Symbian OS v9.4 - S60 5th edition same as my 5800, also same SDRAM 128MB, similar processer ARM 11 except your clock speed is 600MHz, 5800 is 434MHz. GMXT 5.00.60 runs smoothly on my 5800 so no reason why it should be a problem on your C5-03 through hardware or software. "Not compatible message" is just nanny-nokia covering itself because of 3rd party software being installed. It is compatible. Freezing problems are common with later Symbian Anna & Belle but usually not on s60 which GMXT is built for.Quote:

Possible problems & solutions:
Be sure you have closed all other apps to enable maximum memory use for xt.
Did you install a basemap?
Maybe your detail map is faulty, or not fully unlocked: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. Or try a different map.Code:http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=3645
Last resort, uninstall xt, reinstall this one: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], and start over again.
Absolute last resort, give up and use Ovi navigation ;)
