Catymag, thanks for the links. I do have the tools I need but where I am failing is that I'm unsure I am doing a few things correct (even when following the tutes).

What I need is a clearer understanding of the following:

    1. When unraring a multiple part file do I unrar only the "part 1" file or each and every file? I was under the impression that if I unrared part 1 they entire file would be extracted. Is this an incorrect assumption?

    2. Since I have an older 276c I need to load the maps to Mapsource and transfer them to the unit. I understand that part. However, how do I get .img maps into mapsource as routing maps? I know I need maptk and gmaptool but for whatever reason I am messing up the install and believe it is related to my first question.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, I have garmin GPSmap 546s. I purchased Bluechart G2 Vision VUS038R. Now I want to copy it, but my gmapsupp file is zipped and WinZip won't unzip it so that I can use the unlocker script-the script says there is no map file to unlock in the directory specified. Thanx in advance,

If the problem is the unzipping (extracting) just use a program like 7-zip (www.7 zip.org) to extract it.

I have a question too, I formatted my Garmin 1490TV (FAT32) and now the WebUpdater won't recognise it, although both the SD card and the internal memory appear in My Computer, and are accessible. Any idea of what I could do to make it recognizable to the updater once again?

    Thank you in advance.
