    Default Help kenwood 4150dab updates

    Really struggling to update my unit
    Is theres asorted ways which I'm getting no were .ie
    Loaded from kenwood site model and updates to pendrive and extracted them onto a blank drive but with unit in standby mode dosent do anything .
    Tryed same thing vis sd card with radio reads then ends .
    I then tryed a blank sd card and downloaded file to sd and updated via German app .which downloaded a file .I then poped it back into unit in standby entering satnav to update nothing just stuck with outdated unit .
    Also made sure it's in fat32 format
    Tryed updateing via usb pen drive but option dosent highlight to update
    Any help please

    Mate I have done update to my Kenwood unit had your problem also however here is the fix that worked for me
    1Format you USB however make sure the box ALOCATED SPACE is selected not a selected byte size
    2 Extract the files from your PC to the USB ONLY the extracted files on the USB
    If this fails maybe the USB itself is the problem
    Get another USB 16 GIG to 32 do the above step again
    AND MAKE SURE your head unit is in STANDBY
    must be to install the files
    Go
    STANDBY
    SETTINGS
    SOFTWARE
    Depending which update you are installing should go white logo install
    Go youtube there are some videos on this process
    GOOD LUCK
    Oh and have fixed my unit that had a Garmin screen freeze figured out how to get into the internal GARMIN software saved me $300 + the KENWOOD wanted to send it in at present researching a few models as to how and where the GARMIN is hidden
