try to change the calculation mode to (shorter distance0 instead of (faster time). you can find this at the settings>navigation>calculation mode>shorter distance. give it a try!
Hello all!
I successfully unlocked for a friend a Garmin Drive 51 LMT-S unit which only had Western Europe, using the method from the forum.
I installed City Navigator Europe NTU 2018.30 on it. Because there wasn’t enough space on the GPS unit, I couldn’t copy the files from the ASR archive. Now there are 72 MB left on the unit.
He went on a trip. In Sweden the following problem appeared: if he would try to make a route to a destination which was a few kilometres away, the unit would do the route through Denmark, making it a few hundred kilometres long. In no circumstance the unit would do the direct short route.
Now, he got back and gave me the gps unit. Using the Trip Planner option on the unit, I have made some trips with the start and the destination in Sweden. These are all good, with direct, short routes. So it seems that this problem only appears when the unit is physically in Sweden.
Have any of you seen this behaviour/fault before? Taking into consideration that the unit will be used a lot in Sweden, do you have a possible solution for this?
Thank you very much!
