Help with tracks on Garmin Etrex 30

Hello,

As you know when the Garmin unit is on it will record your track, then if you switch it off and keep on walking for an hour then switch it on again it will start to record your track again but a straight line will be seen on Basecamp, a straight line between your two recording tracks, how can you configure the GPS not to make this straight lines ?
