There is no GSV protection in 35xx firmware so the firmware doesn't require patching. There is Map Signature Verification (MSV) protection in the firmware however so a map unlocker that doesn't overcome MSV in the required map won't work. Read the first several posts in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for the full explanation.

Which maps are you trying to use with ASR? Some countries don't have ASR files available for the maps and some won't work with partial maps and need the entire available mapping to be loaded, i.e. US/CA and Europe. More info on that here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

I should rather word it differently:
There is no MSV protection in 35xx firmware so the firmware doesn't require patching. There is GСD Signature Verification (GSV) protection in the firmware but it does not matter in this case, because the firmware doesn't require patching.
To unlock a map you enough to use the old gimgunlock-0.03 (without MapSigPatch) or one of its derivative.

Yes of course, your explanation is totally correct. Thanks for the polite correction. I think you are a very kind person because I messed up rather badly by mixing up MSV and GSV for that device. I have no idea how I managed to do that because in the patcher's fw_list is this:
    Code:

A good explanation of the effects or otherwise of GSV and MSV in Post 41 of the patcher thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Either way, your nuvi 3590 doesn't need the firmware patched. BTW, I see you said you're "using Europe nt 2018.10" in your 3590. The OEM and suggested map is NTU for that device and there are different ASR files for NT and NTU European maps. Your 3590 uses 'ASR2' files and I don't think they are even issued for the non-Unicode NT, only for NTU.

Choosing a locale does sometimes enable or disable certain features in particular devices. Two examples I've encountered are Audible Exceed Speed Limit Warning and Auto Zoom. If there are no specific ASR files available for Egypt mapping from Garmin, then perhaps choosingمصر [Egypt] as the Locale disables ASR completely, even removing the Voice Command Icon. I'm guessing however.

Is your 3590 a US/EU firmware version (HWID 1258) or some other regional version device?
