Garmin Nuvi 2508 UK Ireland - Adding european maps

Hi guys,

I have a map file - CN Europe NTU 2017.20 ALL which according to PGFT is not locked but when i copy it to my SD card the map file is locked according to the unit, it then says that the file is potentially corrupt.

I'm struggling to understand what's wrong, looking for some pointers on getting european maps onto this unit.

PGFT not a good tool for unlock. The map is still locked - signed present. In this case, you have to find a new medicine.
OR
Probably nuvi 2508 has protected firmware for unlocked maps, you must download the patched firmware ' Updater.exe '

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

It never occurred to me that the firmware would block the unlocked maps.

Ive managed to install a patched firmware version and all is now well.
