Why you need xml from other people?
If your garmindevice.xml is to old on your USB then copy xml from nuvi and add it on USB and you will have new one.
I hope you have 8Gb+ USB for download maps over GE and in FAT32 format, becouse sometime GE give error if you have USB formated in NTFS.
