I think you've not removed the 2x5W firmware file gupdate.gcd from your unit's Garmin folder. It will simply again flash it back to 2x5W immediately if it's not removed.

Just found time today to go for a long drive. The Lane assist arrows did not get displayed. The firmware has definitely changed to 465 since i see it on the boot up screen and in all the internal menus. Is there anywhere i need to enable or should that appear automatically?
Did you navigate in your test on roads with multiple lanes and also is TTS working ok? LA doesn't show for suburban streets of course. If your test was definitely with multi-lane situation, then try again after flashing with the 465 logo [test navigation can be done in simulation: Tools>Settings>System>GPS Simulator>On]. Kit attached made with V3.21 boot.bin as ldr.bin. Extract the file Updater.rar directly to root of a clean SD card. With unit fully off, insert card and turn it on. Wait for reboot before removing card.
Don't want to sound ungrateful for the explanation given but it does not work. Tried all sorts of combinations of firmware 7.60/7.80 255W (boot.bin) with 4.20 465T (fw_all.bin) . I have 0827 hwid and I flashed the modded fw but is stuck at boot logo and doesn't progress after that. I can flash it back to stock firmware 7.80 and it will work as expected. Just wanted to add the lane assist feature by flashing to 465T firmware...so for people having a 255W with 0827 hwid...it may have worked with older firmware, but it doesn't work with latest firmware.Quote:

edit: I found the PouchX file that flashes 6.60 boot.bin from 255w and the 3.21 fw_all.bin from 465T. This does work. TTS is a bit choppy at first. Lane assist unsure because did not test it on the road.
