Hi, I bought a Garmin Nuvi 3590 on eBay at a bargain price, problem is that the initialled installed language is Russian and I would like to change the installed language to English. Having the initial language installed as Russian means that it is difficult to use some of the controls, especially the voice commands. I do have the latest Europe maps installed as extra's but as I said I have some problems because the initial language installed on this 3590 is Russian. Is there any way I can remove the Russian installation and replace it with the English one? Thanks for any help, Dan.

I'm sorry but I had already tried this, the problem is that the Garmin will not recognise any commands spoken in English because it is configured for Russia and the voice recognition software is looking for Russian and does not work with English. It will pronounce the directions correctly in English but not the other way around, when I ask it for directions to an address. Is there any way to remove the Russian configuration and replace it with one for Europe, specifically the UK ?
