Gimgunlock unlocks every maps in your device, unlocking is not your problem.
    Check map naming and path.

the map file im using was posted by bam bam

When i extracted the 4 rar files it made the gmapsupp.img I made a folder called garmin put gmapsupp.img in the folder tried in 760 and would not see it.

I did load the gmapsupp.img on to the Gimgunlock icon and it ran through all the files.

So this is what I have done so far also same with a friend who dnloaded the same map and his garmin would not see the map.

Like I said I do have a gmapsupp.img 2014 map working on a 4 gig sd card but this will not work.

    Thanks for helping much appreciated.

bam-bam doesn't post locked maps anyway you can check if the .img is ok looking at its details in GmapTool:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

See here for map naming and paths:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Nuvi internal (diagnostic utility) OS map naming
    -----------------------------------------------------------
    7x0/7x5
    1. PROM1 = gmapprom.img
    2. PROM2 = gmapprom1.img
    3. Suppmap1 = gmapsupp.img (nuvi drive only)
    4. Suppmap = gmapsupp.img (SD Card drive only)
    5. Dir DB = gmapoem.img
    6. Basemap = gmapbmap.img
Remove any .unl or .gma files, remove (after backing up all on pc) any .img covering the same area.

    PS: "Garmin", not "garmin"

Well thanks you all for the help and info.

I'm sure im doing this correct as I have in the past with unlocked images posted here.

On my 760 i have the 2009 original map
Then on an sd card I have the 2014.10 map works

When i try the unlocked 2015.30 map it will not work the gps will not see it also tried in a nuvi 360 which is using a 2012 map working np.

Can someone please tell me what i might be doing wrong

Made a folder on 4gb sd card called garmin
loaded the gmapsupp.img to sd card and will not work in either 760 or the 360 garmin gps

i loaded the 2015 file in gmaptool and dont see anything saying its locked.

    Again any help appreciated!!

I just loaded the map in gmaptool and all looked good then I put in gps and no go
I then put card back in reader and dragged in to gmaptool and got the following below

    Program start.

    ====================================================================
    Input file: I:/Garmin/gmapsupp.img.
    Reading file I:/Garmin/gmapsupp.img.
Wrong header (DSKIMG GARMIN), file I:/Garmin/gmapsupp.img.

    File: I:/Garmin/gmapsupp.img, length 1667661824
    File format errors (3)

There were errors, result is faulty.

    End.

nuvi 3x0 cannot see image files in excess of the FAT16 limit of 2GiB. I haven't checked but i have a recollection that earlier fw versions for nuvi 7x0 had the same restriction, if you aren't using V4.50 you should update it now with GarminExpress or WebUpdater, or you can get it here:
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
All NA 2014.10 image file is 1.86MiB so is below the 2GiB limit as are the earlier versions of all NA which includes the 2012 on your 360. All NA 2015.30 image file is now 2.20GiB and so well above it. I can't see that bam-bam posted an image in our [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] so maybe you got it elsewhere, but as GMapTool is now reporting the image as faulty you need to replace it. For the 360 you'll definitely have to use an NA image below 2GiB for sure.

Well seem I got it all working. I was loading a 2015.30 lower 49 map to 4 gig cards even though the map is 1.55 gb. I then tried 2 gig cards and not maps work in the 760 and the 360 garmin.
I never thought that the 4 gig car would cause this as the file on it was only 1.55gb.

My next question is how and if, can a load a 2015.30 map that is 2.3gb to my garmin 760 if possible I tried a 4 gig card and every time i inserted the sd card with map it would corrupt the file, as I would read in gmaptools and showed errors.
Garmin 760 shows latest update webudater
Again to all the thanks to all for helping and answering my questions.

I guess that's a typo and 'not maps works' should be 'now maps work'.

Check the format on your cards. It's possible to format 4GB cards in FAT16 under Windows (because they're actually ~3.7GB as a binary Gigabyte [GB] is about 0.93 Gibibytes [GiB] which is decimal). Windows will baulk at formatting in FAT32 only above 4GiB which is ~4.3GB. Both your units should be just as capable of using FAT32 as FAT16 SD cards however. Maybe the 4GB card was formatted with a Mac or some dodge 3rd party software. To be absolutely sure of the correct format use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or SDFormatter [google that one].

Logically there is no reason why either your 360 or 760 with latest fw should have any problem using even a 32GB FAT32 card provided the image is at least 1 byte below 2GiB [i.e. max. 2,147,483,647 bytes] in a Garmin root folder named gmapsupp.img [with latest fw 7xx can use a second image named gmapsup1.img in the card's Garmin folder too, but not 3xx/6xx]. So no matter what the problem is with the image being corrupted, on either FAT16 or FAT32 formatted cards, the 360 is totally unable to read an image over the FAT16 limit of 2GiB or larger in size [even 2,147,483,648 bytes will choke them in theory]. The full NA 2015.30 you're trying to use is 2,368,667,648 bytes, i.e. ~2.37GB or ~2.21GiB so over the FAT16 limit.
